SIMI°MotionTwin has been designed for performing fast and simple video-based motion analysis. Its high flexibility makes it a powerful tool for coaches and teachers in sports clubs and physical education lessons. MotionTwin is a tool for analyzing technique and improving performance in all kinds of sports. Its application areas are unlimited: golf swing analysis, gymnastics, handball and all types of movements in individual and team sports such as athletics, swimming, tennis, football and volleyball.

The main focus in analysis is on the use of high-quality synchronized videos to carry out a comparison of movements. It is possible to compare visually attempts made by one athlete or by different athletes and to use the video presentation together with the drawing tools to highlight key areas of performance. It is typically used for immediate feedback during a training session or for a later, more extensive analysis.

How to use the system

Connect up to four digital video cameras to your desktop computer or up to three to your notebook using FireWire (IEEE 1394a) cables.
Start capturing with all attached cameras simultaneously by one mouse click, and SIMI°MotionTwin records live motion sequences and stores them in real time onto the computer's hard disk.
Cropping tools allow for the simultaneous cutting of videos. Analysis can be done subsequent to the recording of the video.

Applications

Athletics	SIMI°MotionTwin can be used for 2D still image measurement and motion analysis technical training, sourcing, choice of optimal sports equipment as well as for comparison of the execution of movement of different athletes.
