BTS VIXTA

Digital video-system in support of clinical analysis

BTS Vixta is a digital video capturing system that was developed to provide qualitative information in support of the kinematics, kinetics, and EMG data. Video will enhance the overall quality of an evaluation.

The system optimizes motion analysis by permitting:

  • frame by frame correlation of the objective evaluation to the acquired data provided by force platforms, EMG, optoelectronic systems and other devices
  • "seeing" the movement from different angles
  • storing video sequences and comparing progress of treatment, improvement of performance over time

BTS Vixta employs high-resolution digital cameras to capture the subject from different perspectives. Up to four cameras can capture video data in synch with kinematics, kinetics and EMG. The integrated software allows for video editing such as video mix and video split.

Main features:

Video acquisition with up to four cameras simultaneously
BTS Vixta controls up to four cameras simultaneously: 3 cameras assure the subject's observation in the three main anatomic planes (frontal, sagittal and transversal), the fourth camera can be used to zoom to crucial areas (eg. the foot-strike on platform, a detail about the loading foot) or to record from underneath with a transparent platform contact surface.
One cable provides power supply, the trigger signal and the video data.

Synchronized data collection with motion analysis systems, EMG and force platforms
Seamless integration is guaranteed with all BTS motion analysis and electromyography products. The video recordings and the acquired signals of the examined subject are displayed simultaneously on the screen, in real time, frame by frame.

Video mix and Video split
Allows for the display of four views in a single video. Clinical examination and the creation of the multimedia reports are made easy.

Video storage
Video files of each camera can be stored on the computer's hard drive and saved on CD/DVD for further distribution

Still picture
The system allows for the acquisition of high resolution (3.1 megapixel) single images.
